It was ACCHS that took home first place at the loaded George Worley Invitational Tournament finishing just two points in front of second place Wellsville.
Tigers finished with 131 points while Wellsville finished with 129 and Atchison finished in third place with 84.5 points.
106: Karson Kahler of Jefferson West picked up a first place finish while Andrew Stewart of Pleasant Ridge finished second place. Payton Rivera of Royal Valley finished in third.
113: Jefferson West's Theron Meyer took home first place defeating Royal Valley's Gavin Akin by fall in the first place match. Evan Dome of Oskaloosa finished in third place by beating Bishop Ward's Nick Williams by decision.
120: Isaiah Kruse of Pleasant Ridge defeated Adler Koontz of ACCHS by fall for first place. Jesse Thacher of Oskaloosa finished 3rd by beating Royal Valley's Matt Tracy by decision in the third place match. Gidien Burnsworth of Royal Valley finished in sixth.
126: It was Austin Smith of ACCHS that took home the first place finish at 126 while Atchison's Archer Willis finished in second while Treavor Anyle of Pleasant Ridge finished in fourth place.
132: One of the top ranked wrestlers at 132 pounds, Mason Scholz of ACCHS, picked up the first place finish. Scholz defeated Mason Ewert of Pleasant Ridge by fall in the first place match. Alex Handke of Horton finished in fourth and lost to Bishop Ward's Adan Luna by decision in the third place match. Atchison's John Collins and McLouth's Drennan Cantrell finished in fifth and sixth place respectively.
138: Quinton Nelson of Royal finished second place losing to Ethan Elliott of Wellsville by fall in the first place match. ACCHS's Landon Brown took home third while Jake Cook of Atchison finished in fourth. James Peltzer of Maur Hill defeated McLouth's Makade Daniels by major decision to earn fifth place.
145: Maur Hill's Pat Madden finished in first place in front of Wellsville's Jacob Hunsaker. Luke Peltzer of Maur Hill finished in third place while Gavyn Perry of McLouth took home a fourth place finish.
152: Steven Highfill of Pleasant Ridge finished in second place after losing to Noah Martinez of Wellsville by fall in the first place match. Dalton Nioce of Horton finished in fourth while Jacob Hedges of Atchison finished in fifth place.
160: Jake Rebant of Atchison took home first place in front of Bricen Lee of ACCHS who finished in second place. John McEvot of Pleasant Ridge finished in third while Jackson King of Royal Valley finished in fifth place.
170: Nick Cairo of Atchison finished in second place with the lone loss to David Signs of Wellsville by major decision. Micheal Wilkes of Oskaloosa finished in third place while Evan Whiteshield of Horton finished in fourth place.
182: Jefferson West's Keaton Shelman finished in first by defeating ACCHS's Conner Simmers by decision in the first place match. Colson Perry of Oskaloosa took home third place by beating Jayce Clark of Wellsville by fall. Caleb Aversman of Atchison finished in fifth while Horton's Xavier Burhman finished in sixth.
195: Vincent Webb of ACCHS took home the second place finish behind Cruz Farley of Wellsville. Ruben Tinajero of Royal Valley finished in third place while Maur Hill's Deryk Hernandez finished in fourth place.
220: Tristan Strawn of Jefferson West finished in first place in front of Horton's Casey King who took home second place. Tyler McCrae of ACCHS finished in third place while Uchenna Orji of McLouth finished in fifth.
285: Justin Miller of Oskaloosa, one of the top ranked wrestlers in the state at 285, finished in first place in front of Wellsville's Parker Lengel who took home the second place finish. Ethan Matthias of Atchison finished in third place.
