Finalists for Player of the Year in each Classification were released by Sports in Kansas with multiple area athletes in line for the award. 

Holton linebacker Jace Boswell was nominated for 3A Defensive Player of the Year. 

Nemaha Central defensive lineman Holden Bass was nominated for 2A Defensive Player of the Year. 

Centralia quarterback Ethan McNally was nominated for 1A Offensive Player of the Year. 

Axtell quarterback Isaac Detweiler was nominated for 8M-II Offensive Player of the Year as well as Defensive Player of the Year. His teammate Brandon Schmelzle is also a finalist for 8M-II Defensive Player of the Year.
