Wetmore Boys Cross Country Will Carry Momentum into State Meet

The Wetmore boys cross country team had great success throughout the course of the season from the start. 

The most recent success include winning the TVL Meet with individual champion Colby Hanzlicek and also posting two more runners inside the top five. 

Also carrying that momentum into the Regional Meet at Centralia as they finished in first place to secure their spot at State this weekend at Sand Plum Nature Trail in Victoria. 

Colby Hanzlicek finished second at regionals behind Stockton's Jonathan Hamel. Eric Bloom and also Braden Henry posted top-20 finishes as they finished 13th and 18th respectively. 

Brayden McQueen finished 42nd and Jacob Carls finished in 47th place. 

The boys race at State will begin on Saturday at 10:40 AM. Award presentations will be presented after all of the races are complete with both 1A and 2A boys and girls.
