Silver Lake Invitational – Results

Some of the top area high school volleyball teams competed at the Silver Lake Invitational on Saturday and the Royal Valley Panthers continued their dominant season by claiming the tournament championship.

The Panthers went 2-1 in pool play with wins over Jeff West and Rossville but a loss to Silver Lake which was Royal Valley’s first loss of the season.

The 2-1 record got the Panthers into the semifinals where they beat Sabetha before taking down Chapman in the championship which was Royal Valley’s third this season.

As to Sabetha the Bluejays started the tournament strong with a perfect 3-0 record in pool play but fell to the Panther in the semifinals before taking fourth with a loss to Silver Lake in the third-place match.

The only other area team in action at Silver Lake Saturday was Jeff West who wasn’t able to record a win on the day.
