A pair of Big Seven League schools competed against top level competition from around the State in track and field action on Friday at the Seaman Invitational in Topeka and a few competitors came away with Top five performances.

The Jeff West lady Tigers finished 15th as a team of 20 teams registering points on the day, while the lady Kaws of Perry Lecompton tied for 19th. On the boys side Perry Lecompton took 17th and Jeff West 19th of 21 teams registering points at the Seaman Invitational.

Three Top five performances led Jeff West on the day and they all three came in the girls competition as Makenzie Tucker earned fourth place in the pole vault, while Makayla Greene and Alyssa Garza each registered a fifth place finish in the javelin and shot put, respectively.

Perry Lecompton had two Top five finishes on the day as Abbi Folks placed fourth in the girl's triple jump and Austin Kurtz took fifth place in the boys javelin.

The track season continues for both teams next week as Perry Lecompton will compete at the Redbud Classic next Friday and Jeff West will be in action again next Thursday at the Royal Valley Invitational.
