Falls City Tigers Improve to 6-1

The Falls City Tigers improved to 6-1on the season with a 48-7 win over Johnson County Central Friday night at Jug Brown Stadium. The Tigers are 3-0 in district play. 

Brendon Heckinlively scored the first td of the game on a 70 yard run on the Tigers first possession.  Weston Witt ran in from 20 yards out then Jack Hartman scored from 11 yards out. Still in the first period Hartman hit Jordy Stoller wiht a 65 yard pass to put Falls City up 30-0 at the end of the first quarter. 

Hartman also threw a 51 yard td strike to Jeremy Waggoner and ran in from 49 yards out before halftime.

Harman ran for two scores and threw for a pair in the game.  Hitting all four pass attempts for 174 yards. He gained 76 yards rushing on just five attempts and scoring twice. Jordy Stoller caught three passes for 123 yards  and Brendon Heckinlively picked up 102 yards rushing on just four carries.

Bobby Johnson led JCC with 63 yards rushing.  Sam Sterup put the Thunderbirds on the scorebard with a 91 yard kickoff return for a touchdown in teh second quarter. 

The district title is up for grabs next week when Falls City travels to Syracuse to take on the Rockets.
