(KLZA)-- This past Sunday the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame Foundation honored Falls City Sacred Heart with the 2014 Dominant Dynasty Award.

The award recognized the 29 state championship teams from Sacred Heart from 1988 – 2011 in Football, Volleyball, Girls and Boys Basketball and Girls and Boys Track. 

Sacred Heart Athletic Director Doug Goltz accepted the honor on behalf of the school, coaches and athletes that had a hand in the championships. Goltz attributed the athletic success at Sacred Heart to kids that work hard and buy into the team concept. He said the role players that step up and become important parts of the team are what helps create championship caliber teams.

During the ceremony 10 athletes, four coaches, two contributors and one official was inducted into the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of  Fame Sunday at the Lied Center in Lincoln
