A quartet of Big Seven League schools (Sabetha, Royal Valley, Perry Lecompton & Jeff West) traveled to Silver Lake to hit the volleyball courts over the weekend and the teams performed solidly in the tournament action.

The action started off with pool play as Sabetha and Jeff West finished first and second in Pool "A", respectively. The Bluejays topped Chapman in three sets (225-13, 20-25, 25-21), St. Mary's in straight sets (25-15, 26-24) Jeff West in three sets (15-25, 26-24, 25-15) to go 3-0 in the pool and win it. While, Jeff West went 2-1 for second in the pool beating Chapman (25-13, 20-25, 25-13) and St. Mary's (25-22, 18-25, 25-18), needing three sets for both wins. St. Mary's topped Chapman in the other pool play matchup (22-25, 25-21, 25-9) to finish third in the pool.

In Pool "B" the host Silver Lake took home first place in pool play going 3-0 in action with wins over Perry Lecompton (25-11, 25-9), Royal Valley (25-7, 25-21) and Rossville (25-11, 25-20). While, Rossville finished second in the pool by beating Perry Lecompton (25-20, 23-25, 25-16) and Royal Valley (25-17, 25-22). Royal Valley beat Perry Lecompton in straight sets (25-17, 25-22) to finish third in the pool.

With pool play action in the books that set up Rossville versus Sabetha and Silver Lake versus Jeff West in the Semifinals and both Big Seven squads took the loss. Rossville topped Sabetha 25-21, 25-21, while Silver Lake won in straight sets also beating Jeff West 25-11, 25-14. Silver Lake went on to beat Rossville in the Championship 25-16, 25-14.

In the consolation bracket St. Mary's took down Perry Lecompton 25-15, 25-9 and Royal Valley beat Chapman 25-13, 25-16. Setting up a matchup between Royal Valley and St. Mary's and the Panthers picked up the three set 20-25, 27-25, 25-13 win.
