It's been a strong season on the mats for a pair of Big Seven League wrestling squads in Holton and Sabetha and they squared off against each other on Thursday night, with the Wildcats continuing their dominance on the mats this season with the 52-18 victory.

Wildcats took home wins at 10 of the 14 weight classes on the night to earn their win and continue to remain unbeaten in matchups. Six of the 10 Holton wins were earned via pinfall as Kosta Buterakos topped Riley Wilson of Sabetha at 113lbs, Tyler Price topped Trei Harrell at 120lbs and Justin Pool won 126lbs with pin win over Corbin Halls. Lucas Lovvorn continued his strong season with one of those six pinfall wins topping Kyler Krebs at 152lbs, while Andrew Rieschick pinned Brendan Rokey to earn the win at 160lbs and Cooper Zeller beat Jacob Luethold at 285lbs via pinfall.

Holton remaining four wins came at the hands of Jonah Lutz (132lbs), Justin Rieschick (138lbs), Dakota Colhouer (145lbs) and Bradley Hooper (220lbs). Lutz won his matchup with Nate Niehues via technical fall, 15-0, while Justin Rieschick did the same against Ben Meyer winning 17-0. Hooper and Colhouer each registered wins via decision as Hooper beat Taylor Meyer 3-0 and Colhouer won 6-4 over Matt Burdick.

For the Bluejays of Sabetha four wrestlers notched wins against the defending 4A champs, Holton as Seth Harrell (106lbs), Michael Baumgartner (170lbs), Brandon Poe (182lbs) and Brandon Harrell (195lbs) each notched wins. Seth Harrell wrestled his way to a pinfall win over Jameson Lutz, while Brandon Harrell also won via pinfall beating Nathan Shields.
