The Peru State Bobcat football “home-away-from-home” tour will continue in October as the Bobcats will play two games on the Thomas Memorial Field in the Jug Brown Stadium in Falls City --part of the Falls City High School campus.

On Saturday, Oct. 5, Peru State will host the Eagles of Avila University from Kansas City, Mo., beginning at 1 p.m.  Presently, the Bobcats are 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, following a tough loss at the hands of the tenth-ranked Benedictine College Ravens 45-41 at the Bulldog Stadium in Auburn, Neb.  Avila is currently 2-2 and 0-2 in the HAAC.  Last Saturday, the Eagles were defeated by the 13th-ranked Baker University Wildcats, also of the HAAC, 63-17.

During halftime of this coming Saturday's game, Bobcat student-athletes from the winter and spring sports will be recognized by the College.  Their awards will be presented by President Dan Hanson and the First Lady, Elaine, along with their respective coaches.  In addition, for the Oct. 5 game, the Falls City Tigers high school band, under the direction of Peru State 1995 graduate Kent Stutheit, will serve as the pep band for the day!  Stutheit is in his second year as the instrumental instructor for Falls City.

Two weeks later, on Oct. 19, the Bobcats will host the Wildcats from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo.   The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.   Currently, Culver-Stockton is 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the HAAC.  Even though the Wildcats have lost all four games, they have been close.

Peru State will recognize the 2013 Hall of Fame inductees at halftime of the Culver-Stockton game.  Five individuals will make up the 2013 class.

The Bobcats and the College appreciate being able to play two games in Falls City and invite all Bobcat and/or football fans from the area to attend the two games.  Admission prices are $6 for adults and $3 for students.  Children seven and under are admitted free.
