Holton took early control leading 16-0 and 22-8 by halftime, but Sabetha took over in the second half outscoring the Wildcats 17-0, holding them to 47-yards of offense in the second half and recovering a late fumble to set up a game winning 28-yard field goal by Braden Cox with nine seconds left in the game. Blake Plattner led the Bluejays on the ground with 138 yards on 15 carries with a TD, while Trae Synder ran for 128 yards on 23 carries with a TD. Christian Meyer added a TD run.
Holton had Spencer Baum run for 151 yards on 18 carries in the loss, while Miles McClintock-Strozier had 11 carries for 75 yards and a TD and Parker Zeller added a TD run.
The win over Holton is the first for Sabetha since 2007.
