1A-DII State Tournament (at Dodge City) 1st round

Axtell earned its first ever girls basketball State win in school history leading 17-9 after the first quarter against Elyria Christian and led 23-11 at halftime on their way to the win behind a 30-15 second half. The Eagles defense forced 26 turnovers, while offensively Kiersten Talbot scored 18 points and Courtney Heinen posted 16 points, while as a team Axtell shot 21-48 (43.8%).
