Troy Trojans finished as 2-1A State runner-up falling to Phillipsburg by just one-point. Trojans struck first in the contest recording an early saftey and carried a 17-16 lead into halftime. Each team traded blows in the second half and Troy got back within one-point at 30-29 with 3:17 left in the game and had an opportunity to take the lead but the 2-pt conversion came up short.
Trying to get the ball back late a late penalty by Troy sealed the game for Phillipsburg giving them the one-point win.
Reid Greaser threw for 298 yards on 17 completions with four touchdowns, with both Cuttar Huss and Chris Winkel having big receiving days each surpassing 120 yards on the day and two touchdowns each.
