Wamego started the game blistering hot and led 20-4 after just the first quarter against Nemaha Central and the Thunder was unable to overcome that early deficit. Nemaha Central did close the game to six points and only a nine point hole at halftime, but Wamego used a 16-8 third quarter to take firm control again and earn the win. Trenton Henry led Nemaha Central with 15 points, while Luke Holthaus added 11 points. Wamego was led by Dillon Blain who scored 30 points.
