Girls Basketball - Valley Heights vs Centralia 12/03/2015 6:15 PM

The Centralia Panthers opened the season with a tough road win over Valley Heights. The Panther led 29-21 at halftime leading by double figures in the second quarter, that lead was cut to 3-points by the Mustangs early in the fourth quarter but Centralia held them off and earned the win. Katie Glatczak led Centralia with 20 points scoring 16 in the second half, while Cassidy Haufler had 19 points going 7-8 from the free throw line and Drew Kramer and Chelsea Huerter each added 10 points. Valley Heights was led by Brandi Jo Roepke who posted 28 points, while Kayla Smith had 19 points.
