For the second straight year the Hanover Wildcats finished 8-Man DI runner-ups this season falling to Spearville in the Championship game in Newton. The game was tied 8-8 early and 16-16 but Spearville did the rest of the scoring leading 46-16 at halftime and securing the 45-point rule win in the third quarter ending the game with 2:38 left in the third.
Will Bruna finished with 33 yards on 14 carries with 2 TDs and was 23-34 for 171 yards for Hanover, while Trey Loshe caught 11 passes for 91 yards.
