Sabetha Bluejays kept their season alive with a huge road win over a perennial power in 3A, Silver Lake in the Regional round of the playoffs (2nd round). Sabetha led just 14-13 at halftime and trailed in the second half briefly, but maintained a lead for much of the game until Silver Lake tied it at 28-28 late in the contest. The Bluejays mounted a drive and with 1:04 left in the game Brock Frey scored a TD on a 28-yard run and that would prove to be the game winning score, as Zach Edelman intercepted a pass on Silver Lake's next drive with basically no time left and the Bluejays earned the win.
Frey finished with 142 yards on 19 carries with 2 TDs and a 43-yard fumble recovery return TD, while Brandon Poe had a TD run and was 8-11 for 130 yards. Edelman added a TD run for the Bluejays, also as the Bluejays forced 6 Silver Lake turnovers.
