It was the second go around in the rivalry matchup and Sabetha jumped out early leading 11-0 to start the game and led 13-1 after the 1st quarter and took a 23-9 lead into halftime against Nemaha Central in Seneca. The Thunder came out in the second half and got themselves back in the game posting a 12-4 3rd quarter, but never could fully overcome the early hole and the Bluejays sweep the season series in the regular season. Kegan Schumann led Sabetha with 12 points, while Kellen Russell scored 10 points. Nemaha Central was led by Devin Henry who posted 11 points.
