Valley Heights held the 18-12 lead after the 1st quarter and led 27-24 at halftime, but a 19-7 3rd quarter by Troy pushed the Trojans ahead and they would go on to hold off the Mustangs for the eight point road win. Troy was led by Nathan Gaarder who posted 20 points, while Collin Jasper scored 14 points and Reid Greaser scored 8 points. Valley Heights was led by Elijah Smith who scored 15 points, while Gage Woodyard tallied 13 points and Logan Woodyard added 9 points.
