For the second time this season, Holton took advantage of three short fields and jumped to a 20-0 first quarter lead. Holton ran the ball 68 times for all 306 of their total yards improving to 2-2 on the season.
Perry Lecompton was plagued by three turnovers in the game as well as 12 penalties for 95 yards. The Kaws also struggled in the passing game completing just 6 of 19 passes for 96 yards with over half their 250 total yards of offense coming on two plays. A Bronzen Rush 68-yard touchdown run was the only score of the second quarter and pulled the Kaws within 20-6 at halftime, but they only picked up two more first downs over their next four possessions.
