4A-DII State Tournament - Championship (at Emporia)
Jeff West led 10-9 after the first quarter but Girard posted a 14-10 second quarter to lead 23-20 at the half and then closed out the game with a 22-17 fourth quarter and went 19-23 from the free throw line to top the Tigers. Jeff West shot 16-44 from the floor (36.4%), while Girard was 16-32 from the floor (50%). The Tigers were led by Mariah Murdie who had 15 points with 8 rebounds, Faith Becker scored 11 points and Tayler Metzger scored 9 points and the Tigers did go 6-18 from three-point range.
