1A-DII State Tournament - 1st round (at Dodge City)
Up 22-17 at the half Wetmore was looking for second straight year of a first round upset at State but Waverly tied the game at 37-37 after three quarters and finished the game with a 12-7 fourth to end the Cardinals season. Wetmore in the loss was led by MaKayla Henry who had 15 points and 13 rebounds, while Jill Henry scored 12 points and had 7 rebounds and Dakota McQueen chipped in 8 points and 10 rebounds. The Cardinals despite a 16-25 free throw line performance had 21 turnovers and shot just 26.8% (11-41 FGs), Waverly shot 18-54 FGs (33.3%).
