TVL Tournament (at Washington County) - Consolation Game
After an opening round loss on a buzzer beater Valley Heights bounced back and closed the TVL Tournament out going 2-1 in games played winning a pair of consolation games including a 55-35 win over Blue Valley. Mustangs led just 12-10 after the first quarter but a 19-7 second quarter gave Valley Heights a 31-17 lead at halftime as Kayla Smith scored 11 points in the second quarter for the Mustangs. Smith and company went on to grab the win and Kayla had a 31 point performance, while Sam Vermetten added 10 points and Valley Heights moved to 4-7 on the season. Blue Valley with the loss is now 3-7 on the season and the Rams finished the tournament 1-2; Allie Cassel led the Rams in the loss with eight points.
