TVL Tournament (at Washington County) - Quarterfinals
Washington County muscled their way to a tough win over Frankfort in the Quarterfinals taking the 62-52 decision to earn a spot in the Semifinals of the tournament. Tigers established an early lead by Frankfort in the final 40 seconds of the first quarter took the lead at 12-11 and then added two more points to lead 14-11 after one. The lead flipped back to Washington with 6:33 left in the first and the Tigers went on a 11-0 run led by Tess Cecrle to go up 22-14 with 5:08 left in the first half and looked to be in control of the contest but Frankfort clawed back to trail just 30-28 at halftime. The third quarter saw another Washington County run led by Cecrle and Annie Otott and the Tigers established a double figure lead going up 45-34 with 4:24 left in the third. Frankfort continually fought back getting close again several times but Washington County finished the game off to improve to 8-1 and move to the Semifinals. A 16 point night by Cecrle led Washington and earned her Community National Bank "Player to Bank On" honors on KMZA, while Jenna Hennerberg posted 14 points and Otott scored 11. Frankfort in the loss was led by Kennan Brandt who posted a season high 14 points, while both Jessa Yaussi and Emilee Ebert each scored 13 points.
