Wetmore led 10-7 after the first quarter but a 17-8 second quarter by Axtell gave the Eagles a 24-18 lead going into the half. The Cardinals responded with a 15-8 third quarter to lead 33-32 after three quarters and held off Axtell down the stretch for the win. Jill Henry netted 22 points hitting 8-13 free throws, while Dakota McQueen chipped in 11 points. Anna Buessing led Axtell with 21 points, while Maddy Kuckelman scored 10 points.
