For the second straight year the Nemaha Central rolled to a win in the first round of the playoffs this time rolling past Pleasant Ridge. The Thunder scored a TD on three of the first five offensive plays of the game and wre up 21-0 after just the first quarter and led 41-6 at halftime. Jacob Koelzer ran for 264 yards on 7 carries with 3 TDs on runs of 90, 55 and 78 yards on his first three carries. Ryan Hasenkamp finished 5-11 for 173 yards with 3 TDs, while Mitchell Henry caught 2 passes for 104 yards with 2 TDs, ran for 53 yards on 3 carries and added a 60-yard punt return TD. Mitchell Heiman tallied a 20-yard TD run for the Thunder, while Dalton Schmelzle tossed a 23-yard TD pass to Austin Gerety and finished 3-4 for 42 yards.
Pleasant Ridge in the loss had 230 total yards with 154 in the first half but were outgained by Nemaha Central as the Thunder totaled 587 total yards. Breydon Baragary finished 5-17 for 106 yards and a TD run, while Clayton Richter caught 3 passes for 76 yards
