The Hanover Girls secured the Twin Valley League title for the 2025–2026 season with an impressive 9-1 league record and a 20-3 overall record.

The Hanover Wildcats are the #3-ranked team in Class 1A Division II and have won the 1A Division II state tournament for three straight years, with the current senior class having never lost a postseason match-up.

This was definitely one of the toughest years in the TVL on the girls’ side, because it’s not very often that the TVL regular-season champion is the same team that finishes fifth at the TVL tournament.

Despite the rough stretch in the TVL tournament, Hanover’s season was still full of highlights and exciting moments.

The sole league loss of the season for Hanover came against the Class 1A Division I state title defenders and last year’s league champions in Centralia, falling in overtime by a score of 44-43.

Hanover is the #1 seed in the Wakefield Girls Sub-State bracket and has received a bye through the first round. The Wildcats will look to take on either the #8 seed Centre or the #9 seed Natoma on Monday, March 2nd.
