Hayden Catholic stayed unbeaten by scoring touchdowns on their first six possessions, including 21 points in just 93 second in the second quarter to turn a 7-6 advantage into a comanding 28-6 lead. Holton pulled within a point early in the second quarter with a 7:13 drive that went 80 yards on 16 plays, but then Holton fumbled their next two drives deep in their own territory and allowed Hayden to take control and coast to the victory.
Hayden only had one drive that didn't produce points and finished with 230 rushing yards while Connor Hanika completed 15-22 passes for 203 yards and three touchdowns. Kade Mitchell ran for 128 yards and made a trio of trips to the endzone while six different receivers all had multiple catches as Hayden improved to 6-0.
Holton ran for 317 yards with four players between 67 and 81 yards on the ground averaging six yards per carry. Cael Frazier led the way with 81 yards on 15 carries and scored two touchdowns while Andrew Shupe and Korban Wilson each had 77 yards and Alec Frazier ran for 67 on just 6 carries before Holton dropped to 3-3 on the season and 1-2 in district play.
Holton will play their final home game this week against Hiawatha, which is also their last distirct and Big East game of the season.
