Frankfort Boys Capture Dominant Win Over Onaga to Start the Postseason

Frankfort had already dominated two matchups earlier this season against Onaga, having won four straight against the Buffaloes coming into last night. And managed to extendthe streak to five with a 64-31 win over Onaga. 

The first quarter ended 16-14 with Frankfort in the lead. At first it was 12-3 with the Wildcats in full control before Onaga started to go on a run before the end of the first quarter. 

Frankfort outscored Onaga 17-11 in the second quarter to head into the half 33-25. Wes Anderson popped two threes in the second quarter and had eight total points in the quarter as well. Sophomore Casen Huftles for Onaga was having a solid first half with seven boards and seven points. 

Frankfort came out swinging in the third quarter and outscored Onaga 18-2 in the quarter. The Wildcats led 51-27 heading into the final quarter. Jackson Kolterman had the only bucket of the quarter for Onaga. 

The game would finish 64-31 with Frankfort putting it in cruise control after starting the running clock with just about two minutes left to go. Both Wes Anderson and Carter Olson finished with twenty points a piece for Frankfort, with Anderson also finishing with four threes and a double-double with ten boards. Frankfort hit eight total threes on the game. The lone senior would played last night for Onaga, Jackson Kolterman, led the scoring for the Buffaloes with fourteen points, including a three point shot. 

Frankfort will now travel and play Bishop Seabury Academy Monday at 7:00PM for the semifinal sub-state game.
