K-Preps Rankings Heading into Final Week of Regular Season

K-Preps have released their latest rankings ahead of the final week of the regular season. 

Axtell extended their all-time Kansas eight-man win streak to 46 after blasting then #3 Hanover 58-12 which was a game you heard on 92.1 KMZA. 

The Eagles remain #1 in 8M-II and they have 20 straight wins that have ended via the mercy rule. 

The loss for Hanover dropped them one spot to #4 in the classification while Frankfort stays in the rankings at #5. Frankfort hosts Axtell this Friday to close out the regular season which will be live on 92.1 KMZA. 

Jackson Heights moved up to #2 in Class 1A after being ranked #3 for most of the season. The Cobras beat down Valley Falls 74-0 as they rushed for 270 yards with six different players scoring touchdowns. 

Jackson Heights will travel to Jefferson County North this week with the district championship on the line and that game will be live on 103.9 KNZA. 

Rossville remained in the 1A ranks this week as they're #5. They defeated Olpe last week to claim the district championship and they have won four straight since starting the season 0-3. 

Nemaha Central claimed both the district and first ever Big East league championship in their 40-16 win last week against Royal Valley. Carter Hajek rushed for nearly 400 yards and six touchdowns. The Thunder are up to #2 this week behind only Southeast of Saline.
