Riverside basketball player Taylor Weishaar was named an All-State Top 5 selection by KSHSAA Covered for the 2023-2024 season.

Weishaar averaged over 22 points and 11 rebounds per game this season and led the Cyclones to back-to-back runner-up finishes in Class 2A.

She will leave Riverside as the all-time leading scorer and rebounder and also holds the school records for both points in a game (47) and rebounds in a game (19). Not only that, she is Riverside's career leader in kills as she's also been a standout volleyball player. Weishaar will continue her academic and basketball career at Central Missouri.

Silver Lake's McKenzie McDaniel was named top 5 as well as she posted another dominant season. McDaniel led Silver Lake to a 26-0 record and Class 3A State Title this season averaging nearly 20 points and 10 rebounds per game.

McDaniel finished her career with an incredible game of 25 points and 13 rebounds in the Championship game win over Hesston. She holds multiple school records and will continue her academic and basketball career at Emporia State.
