One final in the game in the regular season that is what Wednesday's game was as Doniphan County and Sabetha gear up for the Zone tournament by facing each other. Doniphan County picked up the win at home winning 3-0.

Sabetha started the game getting two guys on with a pair of singles and had runners at the corners but the inning and scoring opportunity was stopped by Doniphan County turning a double play to end the inning. In the bottom of the first the offense started well with a double by Reid Greaser and then with two-outs Zeb Speer laced an RBI single to give Doniphan the 1-0 lead after one. Top of the second saw Sabetha start the frame with the first two batters reaching safely but a flyball out and then another double play foiled the scoring opportunity and Doniphan County then had a bases loaded walk drawn by Wil Smith to score another run in the second and go up 2-0. After stranding two more runners in the third Sabetha managed only one runner the rest of the ballgame, while Doniphan County added a run in the fourth on an RBI double by Smith and picked up the 3-0 win.

Speer started the game for Doniphan County going three innings giving up just two hits and two walks, while Levi Watts and Greaser each hurled two scoreless innings. Greaser added a 1-2 showing at the plate with a double, run scored and two walks and was named McDonald's "Player of the Game" on KNZA. Smith finished 2-3 with a double, two RBI and walk, while Brock Blair was 1-3 with two runs scored.

Sabetha in the loss managed only three hits as Brett Stallbaumer was 1-3 and reached on an error, while Kyle Grimm was 1-1 with a walk and Brandon Brownlee recording the other hit. Stallbaumer took the loss on the mound tossing four solid innings giving up three runs on six hits, two walks, a hit batter and struckout two.

The win moves Doniphan County to 18-7 on the year while Sabetha with the loss falls to 23-10.
