Breyton Hewitt

What a weekend it was for Breyton Hewitt of ACCHS at the 2A State Powerlifting Meet on Saturday at Horton.

He won the State Championship at 172 pounds and was named Heavyweight Lifter of the year based on his power ratio.

Breyton swept the weight class finishing first in all three events. His bench of 290 pounds was 15 pounds more than second place, his clean of 275 pounds was 15 pounds more than second place, and his squat of 455 pounds was 70 pounds more than second place.

Breyton has seen the biggest improvement with his squat over the past year increasing his number by more than 120 pounds.

He was the NEKL champion in his weight class this year and the NEKL Heavyweight lifter of the year.

Breyton finished first place last year at 156 pounds at state and has been doing powerlifting for only three years.
