The Bluejays for the second straight year set Riverside to their first loss of the season and opened district play with a win. Michael Baumgartner lead the charge for Sabetha with 28 carries for 163 yards and 2 TDs, while Brock Frey and Brett Plattner each added a rushing TD.
For Riverside, Andrae McGaughy put up 191 yards passing on 12-23 and a TD pass to Mason McCall, while Drew Hoffman added a rushing TD. Zach Hatler continued to be a monster on the defensive side of the ball posting 17 tackles, a forced fumble and interception.
