It was a tough district game that saw the appearance of Tristan Speer for Troy for the first time this season and he helped them to the win over Valley Heights. Speer posted 140 yards on the ground and scored both TDs for the Trojans; both coming on the ground. All 15 points for the Trojans came in the third quarter.

For the Mustangs Cole Maddox lead the ground attack with 85 yards on 21 carries and TD; while Gage Woodyard was 3-4 for 35 yards and TD pass to Logan Woodyard.
