2A #2 Nemaha Central took care of business giving Silver Lake their second straight loss to begin the season. The Thunder led 28-0 at halftime but the Eagles would outscore the Thunder 7-0 in the third to get within 28-7 going into the fourth quarter.

However the Thunder would put the game away with a big touchdown run from quarterback Carter Hajek and a 35 yard interception return touchdown by Sullivan Haverkamp.

Hajek finished the game with 25 carries for 252 yards and four touchdowns.
