The Bears opened the 2025 season with a big time win over Perry-Lecompton and they did it with their defense. 

St. Marys held the Kaws to just 101 rushing yards on just 3.5 yards per carry and they also held the Kaws to just 48 total passing yards. 

The Kaws got a good rushing performance from Amos Brackenhoff with 17 carries for 116 yards.
