Nemaha Valley trailed a majority of the game until the 4th quarter when they finally took a lead. Senior, forward Creighton Brinker hit the game winning shot inside the paint with 11.5 seconds to go, giving Nemaha Valley the one point lead. Raiders of Nemaha Valley were down 16-5 after the 1st quarter to Wamego, but battled back to with three at the half behind 14 points by Brinker (who scored 14 of the 16 by NV in the 2nd quarter). Brinker finished the night with 23 points, while fellow senior, Trent Olberding added 10 points of his own.
