Nebraska junior Jordan Hooper captured honorable-mention All-America accolades from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for the second straight year, when the teams officially were announced at the NCAA Women's Final Four on Saturday in New Orleans.

Hooper, a 6-2 forward from Alliance, Neb., led Nebraska to the 2013 NCAA Sweet 16 by averaging 17.9 points and 8.8 rebounds on the season. The three-year starter ranked fifth in the Big Ten Conference in scoring and fourth in rebounding, while also ranking fifth in the league in three-pointers made with 2.4 per game.

The WBCA All-America announcement was made as Hooper and the rest of the Huskers were being honored for their NCAA Sweet 16 appearance on the field in front of more than 60,000 Big Red fans at Memorial Stadium during Nebraska's annual Red-White Spring Football Game.

Hooper, a two-time All-American by both the WBCA and the Associated Press, heads into her senior season in position to challenge Nebraska's career records in scoring, rebounding and three-pointers made. She has produced 1,685 points, 811 rebounds and 215 threes in three seasons. In 2012-13, Hooper became the first Husker in history to produce back-to-back 600-point, 300-rebound seasons while also tying the junior single-season record with 81 three-pointers.

The two-time first-team All-Big Ten selection has also been a driving force in Nebraska producing two of the top three seasons in school history the past two years, with 25 wins in 2012-13 and 24 victories and an NCAA Tournament bid in 2012. Hooper also helped the Huskers to a Big Ten regular-season runner-up finish in 2013, while guiding NU to a Big Ten Tournament runner-up finish in 2012.
