The Omaha World Herald and Lincoln Journal Star have announced their 2012-13 All State Girls and Boys basketball teams.

Nate Kuhl of Johnson County Central was named 3rd Team All Class All State in the World Herald.  The 6-8 senior averaged better than 19 points per game this season.

Kuhl was named 1st team All State in Class C2 along with Freeman junior Cole Schuster by both newspapers.

Also in C2 JCC’s Justin Damme was named second team All State in the Lincoln Journal Star and Isaac Frerichs of Freeman was named second team All State in C-2 by both papers.

In Class D2 Sacred Heart’s Lane Barnhill was named second team All State in both papers along with Sterling’s Kody Benson.  Matt Goltz of the Irish was named second team All State in the Lincoln Journal Star.

For the girls Sacred Heart sophomore Abby Magdanz was named second team All State in class D2 by both the Lincoln and Omaha newspapers.

Earning Honorable Mention All State in at least one of the newspapers were:
