Unofficially, for the first time in at least nine years, a Bobcat baseball pitcher threw a complete game no-hitter.

Marshall Klontz (Auburn, Wash.) came up with the gem in the first game of Peru State's double-header with the visiting Graceland University YellowJackets as the 'Cats won 2-0.   The Bobcats also took the second game, 5-2, to open their Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) play with two wins.

Klontz pitched seven innings, giving up no runs, no hits, and struck out six.  Klontz only walked one YellowJacket.   Klontz improved to 1-1 on the season.

With the wins, the 'Cats improve to 6-7 overall and are 2-0 in the HAAC.  Graceland fell to 8-7 and 0-2 in the HAAC.

Klontz was named on Monday as the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
