KNZA Broadcast: Jackson Heights Rallies in Second Half to Defeat Troy at Home

The Jackson Heights boys basketball team rallied in the second half on Tuesday night to defeat Troy at home 47-41.

The Cobras (2-1) led 11-9 after the first quarter but trailed 19-16 at halftime. The Trojans (2-2) built an early 11 point lead early in the third quarter, but the Cobras would respond with a 10-0 run to get right back into it and the game stayed close the rest of the way.

Jackson Heights led 30-29 going into the fourth quarter and got big buckets from sophomore Devyn Montgomery to help secure the win.

Montgomery scored 13 points with 11 in the second half and six of them in the fourth quarter. Austin Zeller finished with 11 points and nine rebounds while Drake Mellies added 10 points for the Cobras.

Troy got 17 points and 12 rebounds from Henry Geiger and also got nine points and five rebounds from Hunter Engemann.
