The 7th Annual Rock Creek Girls Tournament was held on Saturday with Riley County, Silver Lake, and Sabetha competing in the tournament.
Other teams competing included Rock Creek, Chapman, Chase County, Clay Center, Concordia, KC Washington, Marysville, and Wamego.
Chapman won the tournament with a team score of 114, Clay Center finished in second place with 111 points, and KC Washington finished in third place with 98 points.
Sabetha finished in seventh place with 77 points, Silver Lake finished in eighth place with 66 points, and Riley County finished in 11th place with 32 points.
Highlights from the tournament included Silver Lake’s Kamiryn Clark taking second place at 100, Sabetha’s Avery Herrmann finished in second place at 110, and Sabetha’s Naomi Pearson finishing in first place at 145 defeating Silver Lake’s Ally Burgos by pin in the third round of the title match.
