Highland Park High School hosted area wrestling teams on Saturday including Doniphan West, Oskaloosa, Maur Hill-Mount Academy, Pleasant Ridge, and St. Marys.  

Girls Team Scores: 1^st Basehor-Linwood (85), 2^nd Junction City (84), 3^rd Doniphan West (78), 4^th Maur Hill-Mount Academy (75), 5^th Hayden (71), 6^th Pleasant Ridge (66), 7^th St. Marys (42), 8^th Bishop Ward (39), 9^th Topeka West (23), 10^th Highland Park (22), 11^th De Soto (14).

Girls Highlights: Taylee Poppelreiter of St. Marys finished second place at 115, Bri Guilliams of Doniphan West finished second place at 120, Emma Vice of Maur Hill-Mount Academy won both of her matches at 125, Cate Swafford of Maur Hill-Mount Academy defeated Alexis Blackard of Pleasant Ridge by an 8-2 decision in the title match at 135, Hollie Finneran of Maur Hill-Mount Academy defeated Taylor Runich of St. Marys by first round pin in the title match at 140, Natalie Peltzer of Maur Hill-Mount Academy defeated Hailey Tracy of Doniphan West by first round pin in the title match at 145, and Layla Kunhert of Doniphan West defeated Sophia Torrez of Hayden by first round pin in the title match at 190.

Boys Highlights: Charles Thacher of Oskaloosa defeated Joseph Rogers of Hayden by first round pin in the title match at 113, Jaxson Vice of Maur Hill-Mount Academy defeated Marshall Waters of Pleasant Ridge by second round pin in the title match at 126, Justin Failer of St. Marys defeated Asher Filbeck of Topeka High by second round pin in the title match at 138, Stone Newell of Oskaloosa finished in second place at 150, Brenner Lowe of Doniphan West finished in second place at 190, Gabe Johnson of Doniphan West finished in second place at 215, and DJ Hund of Pleasant Ridge defeated Marcus Kirtdoll of Topeka West by second round pin in the title match at 285.
