Regional cross country meets were held on Saturday, Oct. 26 with area teams and athletes advancing out to state meets next weekend.
Class 1A in Sabetha (Top 4 teams qualify w/ top 15 individuals advancing). The Centralia girls finished in third place while the Axtell boys finished in second place. The Clifton-Clyde boys and Centralia boys also with top four finishes and advance to state.
Class 2A at Southeast of Saline (Top 3 teams qualify w/ top 15 individuals advancing). The Rossville boys finished in second place advancing to state.
Class 2A at Central Heights (Top 3 teams qualify w/ top 15 individuals advancing). The Oskaloosa girls won the regional title advancing to state. The Jefferson County North boys advance to state with a third place finish behind only Central Heights and KC Christian.
Class 3A in Sabetha (Top 3 teams qualify w/ top 15 individuals advancing). The Hiawatha girls won the regional title and finished ahead of West Franklin and Olathe Heritage Christian. The Nemaha Central boys advance to state with a third place finish behind only West Franklin and Santa Fe Trail.
Class 4A at Blue Valley Southwest (Top 3 teams qualify w/ top 15 individuals advancing). The Holton girls finish in second place to advance to state finishing behind only Baldwin.
