The Mound City Girls improved to 23-4 with a 65-35 win over Nodaway-Holt in the District final Saturday night in Graham, Missouri.  Alex Phillips led Mound City with 22 points in the game, leading four Lady Panthers in double figures.  Kendy Eaton scored 14, Haylee Clifton scored 13 and freshman Emily Wedlock had a double - double including 12 points.

Megan Rosenbohm led Nodaway-Holt with 19 points.  The Trojans finish the season 21-7.

In the boys district final Mound City had control of the game with a 17 point lead in the third quarter before dropping the game to Rock Port 43-41.  Chandler Farmer scored a game-high 17 for Rock Port including the final two points for the win.  Rock Port is now 19-7 on the season. 

Brett Johnson led Mound City with 17 points in the contest.

The Rock Port boys take on 20-7 Stanberry in Sectional play Tuesday night at 6 p-m at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. The MOund City girls will take on 25-1 Mercer in the Sectional Final at 7:45 at NWMSU.  You can hear both games live on SUNNY 101.3 Tuesday night.

If snow interferes with the schedule, the games would likely be moved to Wednesday evening.
