The Atchison boys and girls wrestling teams competed in the 2024 Meadowlark Conference Wrestling Tournament on Tuesday. The girls team placed third, and the boys team placed fourth.

Morgan Molt finished second in the 115-pound weight class for the Phoenix. Molly Cook got first place in the 125-pound class. Addison Aversman got first as well in the 135-pound class. Oktavija Burnett won the 145-pound weight class.

The Phoenix girls finished with 75 total points which was 12 points behind second-place Sumner and 25 points behind first-place Highland Park.

For the boys, Noah Weaver placed second in the 126-pound class. In the 138-pound weight class, Henry Julo got second place for the Phoenix. James Earl also got second place in the 144-pound class. Jackson Bilderback took home first place in the 150-pound weight class. La'Vonte McGowan got the team's second and final first-place finish in the heavyweight class.

The Phoenix accumulated a total of 88 points. That total was 4.5 points short of a podium finish behind Wyandotte.
