Quick start, Nemaha Valley has done that multiple times and when they take control early in a contest they usually cruise to a win and they did it again this time dispatching the Jeff West Tigers for the second time this season, behind a 68-60 final.

Raiders got out to a 10-point lead after a 19-9 first quarter and took that 10-point lead into the half over the Tigers. Jeff West did cut the lead to eight at the end of three, but Nemaha Valley took back over to start the fourth and pushed the margin to over 20 points and then finished the game with the reserves in with Jeff West making a late run.

The aggressiveness of Nemaha Valley was on display early as their first few baskets were all and one opportunities as the Raiders took it to the rack and forced their way to control early in the game. With the free throws compiling early Nemaha Valley tallied 31 total free throw attempts, sinking 26 on the night.

Senior, Creighton Brinker paced the Raiders in the win with 17 points while Caleb Meyer also finished with double figures with 15 points, both gentlemen were perfect from the charity strip on the night. Senior, Trent Olberding and junior, Justice McKernan each chipped in nine points, also on the night.

In the loss Jeff West was lead by senior, Cory Brown who finished a new season high and game-high 19 points, while junior, Teal Watts added 10 points.

With the win Nemaha Valley improved to 17-1 on the season and looks to Royal Valley on the road on Friday. Jeff West with the loss falls to 10-8 on the season and will host Sabetha on Friday.
