Jefferson County North won on the road at Centralia on Friday night by a final score of 16-0 thanks to their suffocating defense and their efficient ground game.

The Chargers scored on their opening drive on a 95-yard drive capped off by a two-yard rushing touchdown by Ethan Noll for his first score of the day with 5:05 left in the first quarter.

JCN’s defense was able to force three turnover on downs in the first half. They also only allowed 68 total yards and an average of 3.1 yards per carry going into the break.

In the second half, both defenses traded stops up until the Chargers got their second score of the game with 6:26 remaining during a drive that ate a lot of clock. JCN had to convert on fourth and inches twice in the drive as well. Ethan Noll got his second score of the game with a ten-yard rushing touchdown.

On the next Centralia drive, the Panthers got in the red zone for the first time, but they were turned away once again.
