Marysville Girls Tennis Finish Second Place at 3-1A State Tournament

The Marysville girls tennis team closed out their season with a second place finish at the Class 3-1A State Tournament on Saturday in Topeka. 

The Bulldogs were led by Shea Kramer in singles as she finished in third place. She won her first two matches but lost in the semifinals. Kramer would go on to win the consolation final by a score of 6-4, 6-4. 

The doubles team of Rose Latta and Kadence Spurgeon would finish in sixth place while the team of Kate Frese and Aubrey Vering finished their tournament in ninth place. 

Wichita Collegiate won the state title while Conway Springs finished behind Marysville in third place. 

Sabetha's participants of Audrey Tramp in singles and the doubles team of McKenna Gatz and Karsyn Meyer both lost their opening two matches of the tournament. 

Perry-Lecompton's Sophie Scrimsher went 0-2 in her singles matches. Complete tournament information can be found here
